I originally became interested in computers when I recieved a Vic20 from my Cub Scout Troop back in 1981. When the Commadore 64 came out I was intregued by the gaming graphics, the ability to print in color, but more than anything else I was amazed by programming in BASIC. Every month when my issue of "Run" arrived I was quick to sit down and try to type in the 150+ lines of code just to get something simple to happen. I moved away computers for quite a few years and studied to be a machinist in high-school, even though my grandfather tried to pursway me to go into the elctronics program instead. In 1997 I found myself getting back into computers and have been learning as much as I could ever since. I have been designing simple webpages in 1998 when an online friend showed me how easy it was. From there I advanced to based applications in 1999 when I learned Perl and MySQL. My first job in the computer field was as a consulting webdeveloper, where I was writing flat Html pages and designing in Flash for Computron Software. Since the site had to be turned over to two in-house employees, I had to train them on how to use Flash.
Since 1999 I have taught myself more than a handful of languages and consider myself proficient writing in:
  • Html
  • DHTML
  • JavaScript
  • VB Script
  • ASP (Application Server Pages)
  • Php (His current favorite)
  • Perl
Due to lack of free time at the moment, I still considers myself an amateur in:
  • C++
  • Assembly
  • ActionScript For Flash
Since I'm a fast learner I'm currently improving my C++ and Flash knowledge.
